Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds an distinguished chair in psychology at the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She is well-known for starting modern scientific studies of children's memory as eyewitnesses as well as the role of children victims in court contexts. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has been honored with numerous international and national awards. She has worked with various government agencies and governments across the globe on policy and research concerning children who are victims of the justice system. She serves as a consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations which include that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding Member, International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
