Anoushka Shankar
Anoushka is an American British musician and sitarist. She was the youngest and first woman to receive an award from the British House of Commons Shield she's had Nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first artist of Indian origin to perform live and to act as a host at the awards ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is a rising young star of sitar music. Indian sitar. She is Ravi Shankar's pupil, and the daughter of Ravi Shankar. Born in London, she spent the beginning of her career bouncing between London and New Delhi. Her first performance took place at New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. She graduated in 1999 from her high school studies in Encinitas CA. Anouskha is yet to be a mature woman but she has a very amazing career in recording and performing. She has been performing with her father on stage for several years. The first album she released as a solo artist, Anourag, was released in 1998. A year later, she dropped the Grammy nomination-winning Live on stage at Carnegie Hall. In addition to performing in many of the biggest venues as well, she is a stage performer for a lengthy time.
